Ironmongery: Verifying that all hinges, closers, and locks are fire-rated, correctly fitted, and fully functional. A faulty door closer is a primary cause of fire door failure.
Seals (Intumescent & Smoke): Confirming that intumescent seals (which expand in heat) and cold smoke seals (essential for stopping smoke) are correctly fitted and undamaged.
Glazing: Checking that any glass panels are fire-rated and properly secured with the correct bead and mastic.
